In 1993, after two years of research, they honored the famous pioneer dancers of the Cretan community of Athens, Manolis Anggouridakis, Michalis Lefakis, Antonis Pontikakis, Myron Sapountzis, and Giorgis Chnaris, who left their indelible mark on Cretan dance in the 1950s.
