2014
On January 25, 2014, the "KOURITES" Folklore Society participated in the annual event of the Cretan Association of Karditsa.
The first women's cape was officially presented there. It was found in a chest at the Greek Girl's High School of Athens by the costume makers Angelos Theodosiou and Nikos Sotiriou. It is numbered and recorded in their belongings with the year 1913. An identical copy of this cape was created for KOURITES.
These two capes, old and new, were presented in Karditsa for the first time, together with the other four that the Society has owned since 2005.
These capes are made by the late Sofia Iliakis and Dimitra Ktistakis, following a suggestion by Pattakomanolis.
