On January 28 and 29, 2012, a two-day trek was organized by the "KOURITES" Folklore Society and the "PANAGIA KERA" Association of Chromonastiri Residents in the beautiful and historic state of Sparta. The purpose of the visit was the celebration of the Mass in the Holy Church of the Holy Four Martyrs, Aggelis, Manuel, Georgios, and Nikolaos. The church's construction was firstly envisioned by Pattakomanolis with the undivided help of the Association of Cretans of Laconia, led by their President Mr. Eleftherios Psarros. The mission was accompanied by the representative of His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Rethymno and Avlopotamos, Mr. Eugene, Holy Father Dimitrios Abanavas. The Cretans of Laconia warmly welcomed KOURITES and set up a great feast attended by the Cretans of the Prefecture of Ilias. The following day, a Mass was held which was honored with the presence of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Monemvasia and Sparta, Mr. Efstathios.
